Simon
Simon has been at the reins of gravitate since its conception in early 2002. As the front man of the band, Simon has been responsible for lyrics and vocals, and the underlying guitar punch that drives the rock sounds of gravitate. Simon has come a long way since he first picked up and plugged in his first axe in 1996. With a large influence on the musical and lyrical direction of the band in the early days, this burden has now been lifted somewhat. With Jarrod co-axing by his side, and added song-writing input from Dan and Paul, expect to see Simon concentrating more on vocal melodies and lyric writing into 2006.

Jarrod
Upon his late inclusion in gravitate in 2004, Jarrod has added a new dimension and dynamic to the band, delivering his own distinctive style. From surging explosive rock riffs, to the echoes of a single sustained note, Jarrod’s melodic lead guitar adds the final touch that weaves its way through the solid beats, rhythmic melodies and visual energy of the band. With Jarrod also sharing in the song development process, expect to see gravitate propel and excel in 2006.

Dan
Dan is best described as the rhythm keeper of gravitate, with a solid bass line punching through each tune, stemming from his fingertips. With a thumping bass rig, and a new effects set-up, Dan is able to provide a suitable bass line in whatever style the band expects of him. Dan will also occasionally throw in a backing vocal to strengthen the vocal melody along with Simon. Despite various setbacks throughout 2005, Dan has pulled through and regained his desire to rock venues as a key member of the band going into 2006.

Paul
Paul is the beat master extraordinaire behind gravitate. Despite being at the back of the stage, there is no denying that Paul’s influence, whether it is his hard-edged drumming or song writing insight, is hard to go unnoticed. A style originating from gravitate's earlier songs, Paul is not afraid to mix things up, and totally change the feel of a track. This is quite apparent by the tribal beats embedded throughout 'Stained' opposed to the hypnotic beats in the much quieter '40 and I'. With an added input into song-writing, expect Paul’s rocking drum beats to be a key factor of the gravitate sound looking into the future.
